Estate Planning
Estate planning allows individuals to tell their families exactly how they want their final services and assets (i.e. their "stuff") to be handled after they die. Proper estate planning can help families transfer property and other assets while minimizing or avoiding the probate process.
Estate planning includes drafting will and trust documents, powers of attorney and transfer on death instruments. Estate documents are great for individuals and families alike, as your wishes may differ from what others would decide for you.
Estate planning now helps save some of the time and money that could be spent on probate later.
Probate Administration
When someone dies without an estate plan in place, or has assets that have not been placed in a trust that need to be distributed, the court requires families to go through the probate process. We assist families who are required to pass family assets via the probate process.
If a family member has a will only and assets that need to transferred, the probate process is likely the only way those assets can change hands.
We serve clients via flat fees, legal subscriptions or unbundled services. Flat fees are a one time fee for a legal service. Legal subscriptions are for longer term cases; clients pay one affordable rate each month for the duration of their case. Unbundled services allow TSL to support you on a specific aspect of your case only (i.e. drafting a petition or motion, appearing in court, responding to a pleading, etc.). The unbundled services are best for clients who are pro se, but need a little extra help.
